Right To Know

Right-To-Know Law

Act 3 of 2008 is Pennsylvania's new Right-To-Know Law. On November 12, 2008, the Horsham Township Council adopted Resolution No. 2008-41 which establishes the procedure by which Horsham Township will address requests made to it for records under the Right-To-Know Law which takes effect January 1, 2009. The purpose of Horsham Township's Open Records Policy and Act 3 is to provide access to public records of Horsham Township, to preserve the integrity of the records of Horsham Township, and to minimize the financial impact to the citizens requesting public records. Requests for Records

Requests may be submitted in person, by mail, by e-mail, or by fax. All requests must be in writing on the Township's Record Request Form. Arrangements can be made for documents to be viewed at no charge during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
