The Horsham Township Code Enforcement Department is responsible for administering the local Building and Plumbing Code, minimum housing standards, as well as Zoning Laws and local property maintenance ordinances. At any given time, people are building housings and business, or improving existing structures. Code Enforcement helps manage the growth by approving projects and helping residents and builders meet code requirements.
Building permits are required to enlarge, alter, repair, move or demolish the exterior of an existing building, construct a new building or structure or change the occupancy of a building. A permit is also required to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace an electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system. Please refer to the Permit Requirements
page of this section.
