The Finance Department is responsible for maintaining effective management of the township's financial resources. The Finance Director oversees a department of four people to complete daily operations of accounting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and benefits administration including the supervision of their respective information systems.
An Annual Budget Report is prepared for all funds expended and received by Horsham Township to present a picture of township government operations and set the appropriations for the fiscal year.
The Finance Department prepares the “Township Financial Statements.” With the dedicated efforts of the departmental staff, monthly reports are prepared and made available to the Township Council and key administrators.
The Township Council appoints an independent accounting firm to audit all financial transactions.
