BOIL WATER ADVISORY HAS BEEN LIFTED

This is an important follow up notice about your water from Horsham Water and Sewer Authority (HWSA) sent on Saturday, June 2, 2018 for customers of HWSA within the areas east of Limekiln Pike, west of Blair Mill, south of County Line and north of Blair Mill, as highlighted in yellow on the map below.

The boil water advisory for your system has been lifted.

Horsham Water Map #2

Based on the test results received today you no longer need to boil water for consumption.  Please know that throughout this advisory there was no confirmed contamination of the public water distribution system.  The Boil Water Advisory was issued as a precaution. Although not required, we are suggesting you run your faucet for approximately one minute.  There are no other instructions for you to do to start using the water again.

During our extensive testing, unrelated to this event, a sample at a location with a private water distribution network, therefore not representative of the Horsham Water & Sewer Authority system, was found positive for total coliform.  Total coliforms are not harmful and are used only as indicators for further follow up. The sample was clear for E Coli.  HWSA and PADEP will assist this location, the Village Mall (which includes Restore, Retro Fitness, Show Nails, Panda Pavilion, Dollar Tree, Ollie’s and Speed Raceway) to conduct further testing of their piping network.
