Please join the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) and the Montgomery County Planning Commission (MCPC) for a public open house to learn about the PA Turnpike Interchange Study, which will assess the effects of a proposed new interchange at Welsh Road on local traffic. In 2015, the MCPC published the Turnpike Corridor Reinvestment Project, which recommended several new and reconfigured interchanges along I-276. Since that time, several municipalities have expressed support for these new interchanges, while also articulating concerns about potential traffic impacts. In partnership with the MCPC, DVRPC is conducting the PA Turnpike Interchange Study. This study involves the modeling of two proposed new interchanges at Henderson Road and Welsh Road. Traffic modeling techniques will help us understand how and where congestion might be relieved or increased because of these interchanges.
